Jose Mourinho is odds-on favourite to replace the fired Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, according to latest odds from bookmaker SportNation.bet.

Just six months after the Champions League final, the Argentine has been sacked by Daniel Levy with Spurs stuck in 14th place in the Premier League table.

The Special One, out of work since leaving Manchester United a year ago, is just 1/2 to make the move to North London. With a whopping 23 pieces of silverware on his CV and with Spurs trophy-less since 2008, he could be the man to bring glory back to White Hart Lane.

Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is 4/1 second favourite, while another former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti (8/1) and ex-Newcastle and Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is the same price to come back from China, having stated his desire to manage again in England.

English hotshot Eddie Howe (10/1) and Leicester’s impressive Brendan Rodgers (16/1) are the shortest home grown options to take on one of the most appealing jobs in football, with Rangers’ Steven Gerrard at 20/1.

SportNation.bet spokesman said: “The betting suggests Mourinho would be the man to bring the good times back to Spurs. They are trophyless since 2008 and the Special One has proven, everywhere he’s gone, that he can win.

“It may be bumpy at times, but you can be sure that were he to take the reins, the trophy room at Tottenham’s new stadium won’t stay empty for too long.”
