Two selections for the Windsor 7.25 from Big Race Bookie Busters:
Burning Thread has won off marks of 86 and 90 in the last two years, but now finds himself back down to a mark of 84 – which coincides nicely with being dropped in grade here. He’s also drawn ideally in stall-one, and should hopefully be able to break quickly and force the issue, which jockey John Egan is usually very good at. His trainer David Elsworth had 1 winner and 1 place from just 3 runners last week.
As much as I fancy Burning Thread, I advise a smaller wager on the horse I think might bustle him up, Elusivity, who is another to have fallen down the weights. His best run in ages coincided with being dropped to a mark of 82 and running here, when finishing 2nd. After 3 runs elsewhere he has now dropped to 81. His trainer’s 5 runners last week finished 2/4/3/2/2 at prices between 9/2 and 12/1.
2 points win, Burning Thread @ 6/1 (Boylesports)
1 point win, Elusivity @ 13/1 (Skybet, Ladbrokes, BetVictor, Betfair Sportsbook)
