Just the one Saturday double…
There are good reasons to think that Real can concede on Saturday against Espanyol. Their 3-1 win over Napoli in midweek was their seventh out of eight without a clean sheet whereas Espanyol have now scored at least once in each of their last nine games and that included tough games against Barcelona and Sevilla.
Add to the equation the absence of Sergio Ramos for Real (love him or hate him, he’s world class) and there’s enough there to think it’s worth backing both teams to score.
And I’m going to put that together with a half time/full time win for Chelsea at Wolves. With no European distractions, I think Antonio Conte will play a stronger side that some may think in this match.
They’ve been scoring early goals of late. In five of their last seven matches they scored the first goal of the game in the first half and though they ended up drawing two of those (away at Liverpool and Burnley) they won the other five. And let’s face it, Wolves are an easier prospect than Burnley and Liverpool.
